CATEGORY: TEMPLATES
They seem to have some pre-composed deck templates based off of already established games. But they also have some blank slate templates that might work well for card designs. They all seem to be in .pdf format.
2) Magic Set Editor - http://magicseteditor.sourceforge.net/
CATEGORY: SOFTWARE>TEMPLATES
Came across this site looking for Magic like templates. It looks like they have a program that allows you to create custom cards based on pre-existing card templates from prominent card game creation companies. I'm thinking about getting in touch with the programmer of this editing software to see if it might be able to be tweeked to support other, custom-made card templates.

This looks to be a program you can use to organize, arrange, and easily edit a card deck of your creation. The website says the program is available on Windows, Linux and Mac OS. From the looks of it, it appears this may make editing card details like icons, text based information and more conveniently easy.' :^) If you are organizing a starter deck, test set, or perhaps even a finalized set of trading cards this may be something worth your while to check out. The program also links up with BoardGameGeek.com 'to download data to create charts with historical games' stats.'

This is apparently a resource that can be used to organize and convert your card game images into a print ready .pdf file. Here's more from their website:
'Carta-Genius is a software that helps you when you want to generate PDF files with playing cards inside. These PDF files could be used by professional printers to make digital printings. Pandocréon's cards are made with this tool. The software compute automatically the cards' position on the pages, depending of paper and cards size, and draw cut lines at the right places.'
Probably translated from French, so please do excuse any typos or errors in translation that might have occurred with that quote.

The link goes directly to the page apeloverage provided with the tutorial and 2 free Photoshop template downloads. The downloads are large enough to be used for digital purposes, but will not be suitable for high-resolution print as they cap out at 314px X 456px at 72 dpi. I must say I like the template design though!
The main resource this website provides comes in the form of a program that can be used to play a Collectible Card Game online. It looks pretty good. From what I understand about The Game Crafter, they provide ' ad hoc printing of cards in a variety of sizes,' as stated by eponym. It also seems they provide an online location to promote and sell board games you've finalized using their services. Although I don't know how long they've been around, it looks like this may be a company that is really likely to expand in their capabilities with the way they are headed. If you need printing and promotion check them out!

This looks to be a really good resource for icons! It has a large pool of designers providing their well-crafted icons for commercial use (purchase) or limited use under a Creative Commons 'Attribution' license http://thenounproject.com/using-symbols/. The icons they provide are rather 'minimalist' in design so those of you looking for more detailed icon styles may need to continue your search! Either way, give this site a look. Their search engine is really cool.
